Traveling to different countries and experiencing different cultures is one of the best experiences that you will ever have. However, one thing that we all know is that tourists are often the prime target for petty thieves.

With huge advances in technology, thieves don’t actually have to even come too close to you to be able to steal from you. What many people are actually not aware of is the fact that with electronic scanners, thieves are able to clone credit and debit cards just by walking past you.

Fortunately, there are ways around this and there are things that you can do to protect yourself. One of them is to buy an RFID blocking wallet. These wallets mean that electronic scanners will not work and your credit and debit cards will be safe from this type of theft.

As these are fairly unheard of at the moment, you might have a little trouble choosing an RFID wallet for yourself. In order to make things easier, we have tested and reviewed three of our favourites to help get you started and give you an idea of what is available. Please read on below for our thoughts.

1. Mt. Eston RFID Blocking Trifold Bifold Mens Leather Wallet – The Best Choice

Features: 11 Card Slots – 4 Larger Slots – 2 Bank Note Layers – 1 ID Card Slot – 100% Leather – 11.2 x 8.9 x 1.5 cm – 59g – Gift Box

Pros:

  • Very high quality leather with a nice finish.
  • More than enough card slots.
  • RFID blocker is military grade and very effective.
  • Really nice stylish design.
  • Extra capacity pockets are great for extra cards or notes.

Cons:

  • The wallet seemed to take a while to settle down as it appeared bulky at first.

The Review

Number 1 on our list of the best RFID blocking wallets in UK is this one from Mt. Eston. Having seen plenty of positive things about this brand we were eager to try it out and we were definitely not disappointed.

The first thing that we want to talk about is the sheer quality that you get with this wallet. It was clear by just looking at the wallet that the leather was of a very high quality indeed. It is very smooth and durable and has a lovely, quality finish.

The Mt. Eston logo can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the wallet which just adds to the overall style. Now, onto the interior. One of the things that we really liked about this wallet was the capacity that you get.

In total, there are 18 different pockets. You get 11 card slots, 4 larger slots for storing other things, 2 layers for bank notes and 1 slot for your ID card. We found that this was more than enough.

One of the things that we really liked is that with British notes you are able to slot them right into the wallet and they don’t peep over the top. We decided to fill all of the slots to see how bulky the wallet was.

One thing that we did find is that during the first couple of days it did seem quite bulky. However, after that the material had settled down and it was actually very nice and compact. We were able to place it in a pocket without it being obvious.

Most importantly, we tested out the RFID blocker and are very pleased to say that it works very well; it is highly effective. If style and functionality are what you are looking for then this may be the wallet for you.

2. TRAVANDO ® Wallet Mens with Money Clip

Features: 8 Card Slots – Exterior Slot – Steel Money Clip – Coin Pocket – Faux Leather – 10.7 x 8.4 x 1.7 cm – 59g – Gift Box

Pros:

  • Really nice slimline design.
  • Steel money clip is very convenient for notes.
  • The coin pocket can store quite a lot of change.
  • It is perfect for those seeking a professional look.

Cons:

  • There are only 8 card slots which might not be enough for some people.
  • It is made from faux leather so it isn’t as durable.

The Review

The next on our list of the best RFID blocking wallets is this one from Travando. This brand isn’t quite as well-known as number one on our list, but it still has a good reputation so we were expecting to be pleased with it before we had even tried it out.

What we like about the design of this wallet is that it offers something a little more professional for those who want something that they can carry around on their daily commute. The downside is that it is made out of faux leather so it isn’t as durable.

However, it offers a really nice slimline design, even when it is filled to capacity, so it can be neatly placed in your suit pocket whilst remaining discreet. The steel money clip is a really nice feature that helps you to keep all of your bank notes safe and secure. We felt that this was a really nice touch.

We were very surprised by how much change we could actually fit into the coin pocket and even when we did, the wallet didn’t bulk out too much. The one downside with regards to capacity is the fact that there are only 8 card slots.

We thought that this might not be enough for some people, but that all depends on individual needs. Overall, we were really impressed with this one and would absolutely recommend it for a more professional look whilst protecting yourself with RFID blocking technology.

3. XBoze Mens Leather Wallet with RFID Blocking

Features: 12 Card Slots – 2 ID Windows – 1 Coin Pocket – 5 Small Note Compartments – 2 Big Note Compartments – Leather – 18 x 12.5 x 10.5cm – 181g

Pros:

  • Nice, simple design to suit every style.
  • The wallet is made from genuine, durable leather.
  • There are plenty of card slots.

Cons:

  • The leather is a bit stiff until it settles down.

The Review

The last one that we would like to add to our list of the best RFID blocking wallets is this one from XBoze. We hadn’t heard of or seen this brand before so we didn’t know how it would fare, but after putting it through it’s paces we were very satisfied.

The first thing that stood out to us was the design. The great thing about the design of this wallet is that it has a really nice simple design that suits both the casual and professional look. The wallet itself is made from durable genuine leather and has a very nice, sophisticated finish.

What really surprised us with this wallet is the sheer amount of space inside. There are 12 card slots along with a number of other slots for notes and change, as well as 2 windows for ID. We were worried that it would be bulky when it was full, but this wasn’t the case.

The wallet remained nice and compact even when we had filled all of the slots. The one thing that we did notice is that at first the wallet seemed to be a little stiff. However, this settled down quite quickly once we had the wallet in use for a few days.

If you are looking for a cost effective wallet that has RFID blocking and is going to be durable, then this might just be the one for you.

We hope that now we have given you our opinion on these three wallets that you are able to make a more informed decision about the best RFID blocking wallet for your needs.
